Princess Diana’s evening gown was put up for auction at Sotheby’s in New York, according to the Web site of the trading house.
The dress was made in 1989 by couturier Victor Edelstein.
The dark-black-black velvet “Infanta”-style garment has been auctioned before.
A month before Diana’s death in 1997, it was sold at a Christie’s auction. This time it is from a private collection.
Experts estimate the dress in 80-120 thousand dollars.
